Preparation & Integration

Your practitioners are trained, experienced and dedicated to this work.

You’ll be guided through a variety of carefully curated exercises, meditative practices, and facilitated discussions designed to deepen your experience and guide you to your edges.

You'll learn ancient and modern techniques to commune with nature, tap into your innate wisdom and embrace a more authentic and purpose-driven life.

Prior to your trip, you'll have a 1 on 1 preparation call with an experienced guide and we'll also be hosting a live group Zoom call before the trip to answer any questions you might have.

1:1 Mentors

Your program includes a 60-minute pre-retreat or post-retreat mentoring session with one of our guides. After signing up this can be scheduled at any time with the guide of your choice.

Group prep call

Also included in your program is a group Zoom call to help you prepare. It will be an opportunity to meet your guides and other participants, share a little bit about what’s coming up for you as you prepare, ask questions and receive personalized guidance.

The Sanctuary

The retreat center is hidden away in a 300 acre pocket of ancient, old-growth rain forest where creek meets river. Cedar, fern, trillium, bear, lion, salmon, eagle and many others call this place home.

Lodging options include tucked away cabins overlooking the creek, bell tents, and custom built tiny homes. All participants will have access to the beautiful communal lodge with dining and outdoor areas, a fire pit, showers, a stunning wood deck overlooking the river, a newly built cedar bath house next to the river with cedar hot tub, cold plunge claw foot tub and sauna, a river beach, a pristine swimming hole at the confluence of the creek and river and of course, wild forest trails that lead from your door.

Is there an application for this retreat?

Yes, an application is required to attend this retreat. You will be prompted to complete your application during the check out process.

Payment of the nonrefundable deposit is required to submit your application. If more information is needed, we will reach out to you. If your application is not accepted for any reason, you will receive a full refund including the deposit.

Where does the retreat take place & how will I get there?

The retreat takes place approx. 1 hour outside of Portland, Oregon. Once your application has been approved we will share exact details on location and travel.

Travel costs are not included within the retreat costs. We can help you arrange your travel plans and offer ride sharing options with other participants. Please do not book a flight before discussing with us.

What are the accommodations like?

The retreat center is hidden away in an old-growth rain forest where Bear, Salmon and Eagle call home. All participants will have access to the cozy communal lodge with dining and outdoor areas, a fire pit, showers, a stunning wood deck overlooking the river, a newly built cedar bath house next to the river with cedar hot tub, cold plunge claw foot tub and sauna, a river beach, a pristine swimming hole where the creek flows into the river and the salmon breed, and of course, wild forest trails right out your front door.

What will the food on retreat be like?

We have a former Parisian chef (Julie-Roxane) on our team that will be in charge of meals. : )

Julie-Roxane will be preparing meals with high quality ingredients (organic when possible). Meals will be nutritious and super tasty. If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies just let us know - meals can be adjusted to accommodate your needs.

What can I expect the weather will be like during this time of year?

Spring time in Oregon can vary with average high temperatures in the 60's farenheit and lows 45-50 farenheit. Rain is very likely, we recommend warm layers and water proof gear.

We will supply a recommended packing list to help you prepare for the immersion.

Will there be any down time?

Yes, there will be time to rest, relax and integrate your experiences.

Absolutely! Please email us directly at info@thewildwithin.org to set up a time to talk to one of our guides.

What is the cancellation policy?

Cancellations

If you cancel for any reason:

~ Cancellations made at least 90 days prior to the trip's starting date will receive a full refund, less the deposit.

~ Cancellations made 60-89 days prior to the trip’s starting date will receive a 50% refund, less the deposit.

~ Cancellations made 30 - 59 days prior to the trip's starting date will not receive a refund but will receive a credit equal to 50% of the trip cost less the deposit to apply on a future trip.

~Cancellations < 30 days or after the trip has begun will not receive a refund.

Refunds will be issued promptly via physical or electronic check.

If your trip is cancelled by us:

If Wild Within cancels a program due to low enrollment participants will receive a full refund in the form of a mailed check.

If Wild Within cannot conduct this offering for other unforeseen circumstances outside of our control (natural disaster, civil unrest, COVID-19, etc.), participants will have the option to transfer their enrollment to the new program dates or apply their payments as a credit to an alternative Wild Within program. No refund will be issued.

We cannot make exceptions to this cancellation policy. We highly recommend you purchase travel insurance to protect you in the case of unexpected circumstances and unplanned cancellation. See our trip insurance recommendations below.

Do I need travel insurance?

There are two main reasons we strongly recommend purchasing travel insurance for your trip:

1) Travel insurance provides financial protection in the event you must cancel due to personal injury or illness including COVID-19, unexpected scheduling conflicts, the health or death of loved ones, job changes, and other reasons. We see cancellations on almost every trip. Cancellations are a lose-lose-lose situation: for you, for us, and for the group (which will miss out on your wildness).

2) Travel insurance provides supplementary medical insurance in the case you are injured or become ill during your trip.

We strongly encourage that you purchase travel insurance, especially if you must fly to the trip location or if it is an international trip where you may not be covered by your existing medical insurance. Here’s a few travel insurance companies where you can purchase travel insurance for your trip:
